Welcome to the Vinyl 2010 Essay Competition website.
In the autumn of 2007, Vinyl 2010 launched its first Essay Competition inviting young people aged 18-30 from across the European Union to answer the question ‘Are sustainable development and economic growth mutually exclusive?’ in 1000 words. Thirty-five essays were received from fourteen different nationalities, from Poland to Spain and Finland to France. The new EU Member States were well-represented. The independent Judging Panel met in February 2008 to decide on the winning three essays:  First prize: Maja Derčar (25),Slovenia Second prize: Daniela Jungova (21), Czech Republic Third prize: Francesco Falcone (21), Italy Download, or read online, the Vinyl 2010 2007/08 Essay Competition book featuring all the entries in one volume. >>> Vinyl 2010 and all the academic, media and NGO’s competition partners would like to congratulate the winners as well as all of the other participants.
