Vinyl 2010 has launched a Sustainable Development Essay Competition intended to engage young people on sustainable development.
Aspiring young journalists and sustainable development enthusiasts are encouraged to participate for the first prize of €3,000 and publication on leading environment news service ENDS.

Citizens of the European Economic Area between the ages of 18 and 30 can submit essays until end-December 2007.  Journalistic essays of 1000 words in English are welcomed responding to the question ‘Are sustainable development and economic growth mutually exclusive?'  The rules of the competition are available on this site.
