To produce PVC that is flexible, resilient-and easy-to-handle converters add substances called plasticisers to the resin.   PVC plasticisers are already one of the best understood man-made products. 

Within the scope of Vinyl 2010, manufacturers of plasticisers continue to build up a knowledge database to ensure that these products can be used without risk for the environment or to human and animal health.
