‘The role of the Monitoring Committee is not just to oversee activities.  It exists to understand in depth the many and varied projects of Vinyl 2010 and to provide a healthy balance of social, political, environmental and ethical views' Professor Alfons Buekens, Chairman of the Vinyl 2010 Monitoring Committee.

The Monitoring Committee is an independent expert group of stakeholders which meets at least twice a year and currently includes representatives from the European Parliament, the European Commission, trade unions and consumers' organisations. Vinyl 2010 continues to seek participation by environmental NGOs.
